Eco-friendly packaging doesn’t have to be Brown

Eco-friendly Packaging .

Green but not Brown.

If you take a look at the eco friendly products on the shelves of your local refill store we would like to bet that the majority are in brown packaging. Brown = Eco yes?

But eco-friendly packaging doesn’t have to be brown !

When we began looking for an eco friendly solution for our Waxyz wraps we believed it was really important that our bright and colourful designs were visible but fully protected.

You need to see what you are buying, but not have it getting dirty and touched by 1000 inquisitive fingers.

We also wanted to work with a UK supplier.

After an extensive search we discovered Glassine

Green, but not Brown

Waxyz Packs

Glassine is smooth, translucent paper that allows the natural appearance of our Waxyz, or your unique branded wraps, to show through.

Made by a manufacturing process called supercalendering the paper pulp is beaten to break down the fibers. After pressing and drying, the paper web is passed through a stack of hard pressure rollers. This pressing of the paper fibers in the machine direction “buffs” the paper, producing a very smooth, enamel-like and acid-free surface.

It is certified for direct food contact, is pH neutral, acid free, and protects against grease, water, air, and moisture.

Our Waxyz glassine packets are manufactured in the UK with 100% PEFC Certified Paper originating from forests which are managed in line with challenging environmental, social, and economic requirements.

They are environmentally friendly, fully recyclable and biodegradabe, free from coatings or dyes but with a smooth glossy and transparent appearance .

You can see the designs and colours of our Waxyz wraps but they are kept clean and safe inside.

If you are using our White Label service we can organise bespoke packets for your brand or offer unbranded Reusable Food Wraps as standard.

Eco Living Wax wraps   We love them. We hope you do too.
